To make things worse, my coworker wanted his steak medium rare and I wanted my steak rare. Again, our server assured us that it was no problem. The complementary amuse bouche was 3 types of perfectly done French fries with dipping sauce truffles, herbs and Old Bay. When the food came, it was each beautifully plated and the ribeye steak was perfect. The server said that they poach the steak first in butter and then put it on the wood fired grill. It was perfect Flavorful and blackened on the outside and red and juicy on the inside. The bacon topped creamed spinach worked well as a side. After the meal, the table got a bag of caramel popcorn. Thats such a nice touch Id highly recommend this if you need to treat yourself to something nice. Its pricey but worth it. The only gripe about this place is that its noisy since, well, Las Vegas Food was quite good, but service is slower than slow. Not sure if they were understaffed that night or what, but this was ridiculous. Twenty minutes or more would pass between the server visited our table. They have a large bar and seating area with an open wood grill and aging coolers. Service and selection are personal and top notch. You will likely be offered complimentary duck fat fries with your order in lieu of bread which makes for a unique appetizer. On my visit, I stuck with the classic combination of a steak and wine. Of course, this was a Mishima Reserve rib cab paired with a wonderful Bordeaux. The steak was good perfectly with a wonderful flavor and fattiness that complimented the earthy wine very well. The chef added a small cornbread muffin with the steak as an amuse. Paring the fries with the steak helped round out the meal. Dessert was another level. Strip. This was simply amazing with a DIY serving of house made ice cream, fresh espresso, and Dragons Milk Barrel Aged Stout. Combining the three made for a wonderful end to an amazing dinner. The appetizers and sides are really good, especially when the fries arrive. The restaurant gets a bit more casino noise than usual, but there are few things wrong when you are devouring beef this good. I wish they gave you an option of getting a different side on the count that the chef gives out free fries like casinos give out free drinks. I feel bad I really do, everyone ordering steaks and starters and round after round of drinks and there I was having a burger at 6. But hey I had to do it for the yelp. After a long day at a trade show I just wanted to sit in my room and catch up with work and have a burger before going to the casino. Thanks to Yelp I found this place with a very solid burger. The Kobe Burger I still think it is just nice ground beef was a bit pricey at 2. It was large and cooked perfectly medium rare. The pink meat was a very bright color looked so good. It tasted very good too. It came with a large side of duck fat fries with garlicherbs which were awesome. Such a large amount of food it is almost enough for 2 people. I am sure the regular restaurant is great. It is a very cool restaurant and located right by the Mandalay Bay. If I stay there again I will try out some of the steaks. Giving this place 5 stars for having a unique item, the 1. Rarely is there bone filet. It did make it challenging for the cook to evenly cook it medium rare.
